If you've seen It! The Terror From Beyond Space, there's women as pantry help even if they're scientists role play. The 50s were a funny time in this regard.
Saw this movie in the theaters when it came out. Scared the hell out of me. Proto-slasher elements. Recently bought the DVD. Makeup gaffes are terrible. The cultural intrusions (women as helpless idiots) are disruptive. Still a fun movie...
