I fondly remember watching this movie, waiting patiently to see Batman himself, Adam West. I was disappointed he only did a cameo. But the movie is still memorable. I caught it at the Loew's Oriental on 86th Street in Brooklyn, in 1964. I love the tagline "This film is scientifically authentic..." Sure it is.

The splendidly off-kilter Oliver Reed takes a fun Hammer outing. And let's not forget that "Liliane Brousse introduces a highly attractive hair style in Paranoiac." Not sure if they meant higly attractive to the killer or to the audience, though.
And again, Peter Cushing crushes it as the amoral and somewhat mad Doctor Frankenstein. Some fans hate the Monster's design, but I'm quite fine with it. Just don't call him blockhead and we're good.

I didn't know "Skabenga" meant money at the box office, but this pressbook believes so. I'm still not sure why jungle movies were so popular in the 1950s, but they were. I can't find any information on this movie, but here's the pressbook to fill you in.

Some minor cuts, one blank page, and a loose page I'm not sure where it fits , but still an interesting pressbook for a memorable movie. No page numbers are given. Shown here, I moved the publicity pages up, which normally come toward the end, to grab your attention (if Lara Parker doesn't, that is).
The interior 1 page fold-out design of this small-sized (12 inches by 6 inches folded) German language pressbook for 13 Ghosts (1960) first drew my interest, but the comic bookish graphics and photo layout were strong enough to make me bid for this classy marketing material being offered on emovieposter.com.
Thanks to Terry Michitsch, pressbook, sci fi, and Ray Harryhausen aficionado, for providing these scans of the This Island Earth pressbook. One of my favorite monsters, the Metaluna Mutant, perks up this movie, as does the story of a dying world overwhelmed by war. No matter what anyone says, I like the slick slacks MM is wearing. Sure, he was supposed to have bare legs showing, but the special effects people had some trouble with that. So pants it is.
