Lightning Bug, you bring out the problem with street stores these days: not enough stock, "but, hey, why don't you order it online from us?" Gee, why didn't I think of that?

The power of the street store is browsing--they just don't get it. I'd even fork over a few more bucks to pick up a book I browsed and loved right there, than wait to order it online after checking it out.

It's a Catch-22; you have more availability online, but less ability to check it out. In the store you have the ability to check it out, but there's less stock to explore. It's maddening. I just don't know if there's a good solution here.

Okay Annalee, I'm drooling. You know, I am impressed with the local Borders here; at least they devote more shelf space to horror. Not as much I'd like to see, but it's much better than B&N. But I know my first stop in San Fran whenever I eventually make it out there.

This is the kind of problem I have going to most any brick and mortar store these days. While I am happy to oblige them with my money, they keep such a limited array of things in stock that it is practically pointless to go shopping. I really enjoyed this one, great job.

I wish I could teleport you to San Francisco where you could browse happily in the giant horror section at Borderlands Books.
